The Southampton Town CSEA Local 852 Union was formed on xxxx. It's first President was Michael Zarro Sr and served xxx Town Employees. The sitting Town Supervisor was Robert T. Cameron (1966-1971). Over the years both our membership and community have grown and as of 2016 we currently have approximately 300 members and serve a community of approximately 57,000 people.


The Town of Southampton is composed of a total area of 295.6 square miles, of which, 138.9 square miles of it is land and 156.7 square miles of it is water. The Town is called home by 7 incorporated villages, 16 unincorporated hamlets and 1 Indian Reservation.


The town was founded by settlers from Lynn, Massachusetts in 1640. The first settlers included eight men, one woman, and a boy who came ashore at Conscience Point in present North Sea. By July 7, 1640, these settlers had determined the original town boundaries.
